1.  What is RPN Calculator?
--------------------------
It is a powerful calculator for Windows 95, whose User Interface
is used for offering a remarkable flexibility combined to a great
wealth of functions unusual for products of this category.

RPN stands for Reverse Polish Notation, a logic alternative to the
classic Algebraic notation: since the RPN can be unknown for most
of the users, the help includes a brief description of it.

Why RPN and not Algebraic notation? 
Although the second one is more diffused, the first is better
for resolving complex expressions and could be faster when you
become experienced.


2. Beta Release
---------------
The version shipped with this file is not definitive: 
it means that although I tried to eliminate all bugs, certainly
there are some errors that I haven't found; for eliminating most
of these, I need that RPN Calculator is used for every-day work
and in different configurations, so I have distributed this beta
test version.

There are some particular things that you have to know before using
this beta:
	- it is a fully functional copy, however it will work only
	  until September 1996.
	- I've tested RPN Calculator only on systems running
	  Windows 95, so I don't know how it will work on 
	  Windows NT 3.51 or superior or on Win32s 1.3 or superior.
	- I don't know what bugs could be, so I can't exclude that
	  in particular systems RPN Calculator could cause even
	  severe damages: do *NOT* install this beta if the
	  security of your system is critical for your job. 
	  I can't assume the responsibility for any improper 
	  behavior of this software (see the License).

If you choose to try RPN Calculator, I would like to receive 
the list of those bugs that you will eventually find and your 
impressions about it.
I am particularly interested on these questions: 
	- how the software works on those systems that run 
	  Windows NT or Win32s
	- if there are grammatical or syntax errors 
	  on the help system
	- if the help is good enough
	- every incorrect behavior of RPN Calculator

Important!
If your suggestions will be useful for me, I will send you the 
registration code of the final release of RPN Calculator for one 
user, for FREE!
To allow me to send you the code, insert your name and (eventually)
the name of your company.

Note: if your suggestions will be useful (for example if you report
a bug), but someone else have notified the same things previously, 
I will *not* send you the free Registration Code: in other words, 
the choice of sending or not the Code is up to me only, and it 
could *not* be discussed.
This offer will expire when the final release will be shipped. 

Second Note: the final release of RPN Calculator will be sent
on the same FTP sites where you found the beta; it will be limited
in some way and these restrictions will be overcome using the
Registration Code.


3. How to install
-----------------
Simply copy the content of the archive that you have received in
the directory that you prefer (for example, 
C:\Programs\RPN Calculator), then add a link to RPNcalc.exe.
It's all, folks!

Note: I have not inserted an automatic procedure for installation,
because the archive would be much bigger (3 or more times!).


4. How to uninstall
-------------------
The procedure for uninstalling is simple, but if you are not an
expert of Windows 95, I suggest to accomplish only the first step.

1st) Deleting the files
	- Delete the whole directory in which you have put 
	  RPN Calculator (for example, C:\Programs\RPN Calculator).

2nd) Removing the configurations of RPN Calculator
	- Open the Registry Editor, that is the program RegEdit
	  which is positioned in the directory C:\Windows
	  (or similar, depends on which O.S. you have in your
	  system: you can eventually find it searching for 
	  Regedit.exe)
	- Double click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER
	- Double click on Software
	- Double click on SCSoft
	- Remove "RPN Calculator for Windows 95"
	- Close the Registry Editor
